A versatile singer and performer. Authentic yet flexible, you may be surprised at the range of styles Julie is involved in.... Based in Wisconsin, Julie Thompson works with various and wonderful jazz artists Steve Lewandowski or Mark Rattner (on guitar) and Hal Miller (bass). Pianists Dan Dance, John Hefter and Barry Velleman. When in Maine she works with the extraordinary 7-String Guitarist Neil Lamb - "So refined... Lamb makes it sound easy.” –Jay Collins Cadence Magazine MOTOWN - Night & Day. In partnership with Bobby Jiles, Lady JT (Julie Thompson) creates a mellow yet passionate sound of Motown. Bobby on keyboard and guitar, JT on electric bass, JC on guitar, and Coley on drums. KIDS - Miss Julie From a special music birthday party at your home to Miss Julie's Music Class, or a community program for Families, you can be sure that you will receive a sincere and energetic performance. FOLK - Dangerous Folk - for the better part of 6 years, Julie has been part of this folk trio - classic 60's music! BLUES - South End Blues Band Original, creative, rockin blues! SENIOR COMMUNITIES - as a solist, in a duo, a trio, or a quartet... Julie serves up Senior's a real show - reminiscent, and also toe-tapping. CHURCH - Julie enjoys being GUEST SINGER at various churches. Approximately once a month she can be found singing at Unity of Greater Milwaukee near downtown Wauwatosa (73rd and Milwaukee), and when in Maine she always returns to Unity of Greater Portland to sing and be with the good people there! (All are welcome!) She also has sung at Unitarian Universalist Societies, as well as United Methodist Federated Churches. |
